I have taught History to an 8th grade American History class as well as a 10th grade American History class. I want to be a tutor because i have a passion for knowledge and learning. That being said I know how difficult it can be for students to take the time to study and digest what they are taught due to the many things that distract them. I have taken CP World Cultures and Geography,CP United States History,as well as CP Economics/Political Science. In 2008 I received The President's Award for Educational Achievement for proficiency in history. In 2009 I was named an All American Scholar and received an Academic Distinction Award for World History. In 2010 I became a member of The National Honor Society, served as a Student Council Representative, became a member of the National Society of High school Scholars, and taught the Pacific theater of WW2 to the 10th grade U.S. History class. In 2011 I served as the Vice-President of Student Council, received the Critical Thinker Award in Political Science and Economics, and taught the European theater of WW2 to the 8th grade U.S. History Class. I have been on the Honor Roll all 3 of my previous years in high school. I competed in the 2010-2011 season of KDKA's Hometown High Q.
